220 Volt (13 of 24)
Karlsson and Drevin at Sweden Rock 2016 by Shawn Irwin

Swedish melodic rockers 220 VOLT have issued a live video for the song “It’s Nice To Be A King”. The video was compiled from footage filmed by several people during the band’s recent concert during the 2016 Sweden Rock Festival. Some of the footage used by the band in this video that showcases what was reported by Decibel Geek as a concert highlight of the Sweden Rock Festival was supplied by Decibel Geek‘s Rich “The Meister” Dillon. The song “It’s Nice To Be A King” originally appeared on the 1985 released album Mind Over Muscle and this new video was edited by the band’s current bass player Mats Vassfjord. Check out the video from this awesome set and let us and the band know what you think!

During the Sweden Rock Festival, Decibel Geeks Shawn “Animalize” Irwin, Mikael “The Lionsheart” Svensson and Rich “The Meister” Dillon were awarded the opportunity for a chat with band members Mats Karlsson, Thomas Drevin, and Peter Hermansson which you can listen to as a part of Shawn‘s review of the Sweden gig: 220 Volt Review & Interview. Also included here is a link to Shawn “Animalize” Irwin‘s photo galleries of 220 VOLT Live at Sweden Rock Festival 2016

Formed in 1979 by guitar players Thomas Drevin and Mats Karlsson, 220 VOLT have released 6 full-length albums in their tenure. For a time they were also known as Voltergeist in the early 90’s. The latest 220 VOLT album, Walking in Starlight received a rave review on Decibel Geek from Mikael “The Lionsheart” Svensson: The Electric Messenger Want Us To Walk In Starlight
