Fool me once.  Shame on me.  Fool me twice…

In what has to be the least surprising thing reported today, Vinnie Vincent’s upcoming shows at Graceland have been posponed.  Recently billed as a “Full Shred”, it was initially going to be an acoustic story tellers type of show.  But as the official Facebook post said, Vinnie had been talking about it (Full Shred) for a few weeks before making it official.  But it seems apologies are due to those who “buckled their seatbelts” (or bought non-refundable airline tickets and booked hotel rooms) the event has been postponed until February 8 and February 9, 2019 in Nashville due to additional scheduling and logistical requirements by the promoter.

If you’re wondering what “additional scheduling and logistical requirements by the promoter” means.  You are not alone.  Maybe Vinnie saw the video of his performance at the KISS Kruise launch party with Four By Fate.

Vinnie’s official Facebook announcement reads:

“DECEMBER DATES POSTPONED TO FEBRUARY 2019

All-Star Band Announced Including Carmine Appice & Tony Franklin

The Vinnie Vincent dates in Memphis on December 7th & 8th have been postponed until February 8th and 9th in Nashville due to additional scheduling and logistical requirements by the promoter. Promoter Derek Christopher announced, “Vinnie is ready to rock and roll and is disappointed by the postponement, but we needed extra time to add and confirm additional guests for the show. We wanted to make sure it’s done right.”

With the announcement of the new dates, it was also announced, “We are pleased to announce Vinnie will have an All-Star band in February that’ll include Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Blue Murder) on drums, and Tony Franklin (David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, The Firm) on bass.  More Special Guests will be announced soon.”

Tickets for the December 7th show will be honored on the February 8th date, and tickets for the December 8th show will be honored on the February 9th date. To exchange your tickets for the rescheduled dates, or to request a refund, please go to the website homepage at www.VinnieVincentLive.com. Also visit the website’s FAQ page for more info.”

What you may not have noticed in that cleverly crafted press release is that if the shows actually ever happen, it will not be in Memphis.  The event has moved to Nashville.  With no venue details to boot.  I guess they figured if you were willing to buy plane tickets and book a hotel room for this, they were covered by placing the word “NASHVILLE” on the poster was sufficient notice of city and venue change.

Surprisingly, ticket refunds are being offered.  Not surprisingly.  People wanting a refund or a new ticket are experiencing some issues.
