SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL UNLEASHES ANOTHER ROUND OF BAND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Meshuggah is playing the Sweden Rock Festival 2018.
A new round of bands for the summer’s Sweden Rock Festival is ready.
Umeå Meshuggah has stressed the limits of what is technically possible in hard metal since the early 1990s. Their intense light show performs best in the dark and therefore the band ends Friday’s festivals, starting immediately after Ozzy Osbourne‘s concert.
Confirmed for the festival is also one of the 70’s most stringed band of bands, Uriah Heep, the Californian rock band Buckcherry, the SRF-debuting rock/metal band Baroness, the occult 60s pioneer jury Coven with singer Jinx Dawson at the forefront, the classic German thrash metal band Destruction, Dutch band The Focus and one of the first Swedish heavy metal bands, Torch.
Previously, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Helloween, Stone Sour, Heavy Load, Rose Tattoo and Kreator have been announced. A further 28 out of a total of 80 documents will still be presented.
Sweden Rock is Scandinavia’s biggest hard rock festival. Every year, visitors from around 50 countries are attracted to Sölvesborg, where they are invited to over 80 concerts in a mix of classical rock, hard rock, southern rock and metal. Sweden Rock is renowned for keeping a high level of service, and the friendly atmosphere has become one of the festival’s main signatures. In addition to the annual festival, Sweden Rock now has a magazine, beverages and lifestyle products gathered under its brand.
