bf0924cf-10cd-4445-a74b-94bffefcb247German metal legends Blind Guardian have teamed up with games meisters KING Art Games to produce an exclusive song to go with the upcoming new game, The Dwarves.

Here is the story behind the collaboration according to band label Nuclear Blast Records.

Celebrate! The Dwarves have arrived. The coolest fantasy race of all time finally has their own, great adventure. Heroic dwarf Tungdil – scholar, smith and blessed with a gentle heart – has to gather a group of fellow companions and embark on an epic journey to save Girdlegard (the once peaceful realm of men, elves, and dwarves) from all evil.

The Dwarves offers massive-scale, tactical battles in real-time and a brand new, physics-based “crowd combat system”, to let players feel the thrill of fighting hundreds of enemies with only a small bunch of heroes.

Besides the challenging combat, players can dive into a deep story, based on the best-selling series of novels The Dwarves by Markus Heitz.

During its successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015, developer KING Art Games allied up with members from the famous German metal band BLIND GUARDIAN, who performed a tremendous song about The Dwarves “Children Of The Smith”.

The Dwarves is available NOW for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One at a retailer near you or as a digital download.blindguardian-bandheader_940x300

Aside from this new song their current album, Beyond The Red Mirror, has been well received by both critics and fans alike.

Transporting listeners via a mysteriously powerful red mirror into an otherworldly dimension that includes tyrants, gods, and the Holy Grail, the ten songs comprising Beyond The Red Mirror’s story lines revolve around the young protagonist we first met twenty years ago in the 1995 tracks “Bright Eyes” and “And the Story Ends”.

“A story between science fiction and fantasy,” explains Blind Guardian vocalist & lyricist Hansi Kürsch. “The story begins with our 1995 album, Imaginations from the Other Side. The two worlds described therein have changed dramatically for the worse since then. While there used to be several passages between the worlds, there is only one gate left now: The Red Mirror. It has to be found at any cost.”
