CHONTARAZ – Rondamauh (March 24, 2017)

Norwegian post-apocalyptic metal exponents Chontaraz are set to release their new album March 24, 2017. Entitled Rondamauh the album is released through Mighty Music.
.
Here, they tell their own story:
From Norway, in a city called Hell (Yes, it’s true. Google it), comes a new and epic metal project that will take you on a journey into the future. Welcome to the world of Chontaraz.

.

The year is 2068 and the world has just suffered “The Great War”, and those who survived, live their lives in the shadows of atomic wastelands, haunted by scavengers and savages alike. There´s no light, only darkness. There´s no hope, only despair.

But the former general of the United Forces, Chontaraz, will not see the people of the world cave into the darkness. Together with his band of warriors, he´s set out on a mission to preach to the masses of the world. There’s still hope! You can all prevail! We will not give in! We will survive!

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, we invite the audience into a unique interactive world, which will see theatrical live shows from the band and exciting media content on social media. Even a new and original language have been developed for this world and can be heard in parts of the lyrics.

As we know, the band hails from a small town called “Hell” just outside Trondheim, Norway, and Chontaraz have set out for a journey of world domination.

Chontaraz line-up:

.
Rondomauh was produced by the legendary Daniel Bergstrand (Behemoth, In Flames, Meshuggah). 2017 will see the band touring and playing European festivals. The first confirmed festival appearance is at Metal Days in Slovenia, Thursday 27th July on the second stage. Other bands confirmed are Marilyn Manson, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Venom, Katatonia and more.
