Andrew Jacobs here,

In case you haven’t read my interviews with Scott Parker, Andrew Greenaway and Mick Ekers, the 3 gentlemen behind ZappaCast, let me start off by saying that the late Frank Zappa is my favorite artist and composer of all time and has been since I took the FZ plunge back in January of 2008 and decided to attempt to listen to all 100+ of his official releases (more on that later). Well, I only managed to get halfway through before putting that goal on hiatus (mostly due to lack of funds) but in the process, I went on a truly enjoyable journey through the weird and wonderful world of all things Zappa and FZ became my favorite artist and composer in the process.
Fast forward to July of 2011, when I took another plunge – the iPhone plunge.
After a year or two of resisting for various reasons which I won’t bore you with right now (let’s just say that I can be a bit of a luddite at times), I finally gave in and got myself an iPhone. This led me to discover another weird and wonderful world – PODCASTS. Naturally, the first podcasts that I sought out were ones about FZ, which led me to ZappaCast, my first and my favorite podcast.
Anyway, the main point of this post is to highlight the 6th and most recent episode of ZappaCast, which features part one of Scott Parker’s very recent and lengthy interview with FZ’s son and the frontman for Zappa Plays Zappa, the one and only Dweezil Zappa. Also included are some excerpts of an interview that Andrew Greenaway conducted with the Dweez way back in 1991. Enjoy.
