Kobra and the Lotus Announce Signing and New Album

Kobra and the LotusCanadian Hard Rockers, KOBRA AND THE LOTUS announced on their Facebook page today (August 11) they signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records.  Thomas Caser, Napalm Records Managing Director, says the label is excited to announce the signing, calling Kobra and the Lotus“one of the most exciting new bands in this (hard rock) genre”.

Their fourth album and the first on Napalm Records will be released as two volumes of a double album.  The album entitled, Prevail I + II, will be released early in 2017 and will be followed by the second part in October. Details on Prevail I + II, as well as a new single are to be released in the near future.

With regards to their signing to Napalm Records and upcoming albums, the band had this to say:

“It is with great pleasure and humility that we can finally announce our signing to Napalm Records!! We’ve been working very hard on creating our upcoming albums, Prevail I and Prevail II, and believe there couldn’t have been a better partnership to help us bring this massive double record undertaking to the world. Get ready for lots of new music and the best sonic evolution of KOBRA AND THE LOTUS to date. We can’t wait to see you all out there!! Horns up, love up!! \M/.”

Prevail Tour Kobra and the LotusThroughout the fall, KOBRA AND THE LOTUS will tour Europe alongside label-mates Delain.  Tour dates, as well as ticket information, can be found through the band’s website.

Kobra and the Lotus were formed in Calgary, Alberta in 2009 by lead vocalist and songwriter Kobra Paige.  In 2012 Kobra and the Lotus was nominated for Best New Band at the Golden Gods Awards.

Current  band members are Kobra Paige (vocals, piano), Jasio Kulakowski (lead/rhythm guitar), Brad Kennedy (bass guitar), Jake Dreyer (lead/rhythm guitar), and Lord Marcus Lee (drums).
