IXandria Torontonertia Entertainment presents Symphonic Metal band Xandria Live in Toronto May 13th, 2017 at The Garrison on their first North American headline tour.

Xandria from Germany will be headlining their first North American tour with Kobra And the Lotus from Calgary AB and Once Human from Los Angeles CA.

Xandria has only been to Toronto once, opening for Delain and Sonata Arctica. With the release of their new album, the band is coming back to North America as a headlining act for the month of May.

Their first official release was Kill The Sun in 2003. 14 years later they released their 7th studio album, Theater Of Dimensions on January 2017 thanks to Napalm Records. (Theater Of Dimensions Review).

The new album has already peaked higher than any album they have released.

With many changes over the years, the band consists of 3 original members from their first album. Marco Heubaum – guitar, keyboards, Gerit Lamm – drums and Philip Restemeier – guitar. In 2013 the band added Steven Wussow – bass, and the beautiful stunning Dutch dramatic soprano Dianne Van Giersbergen – lead vocals.

Dianne‘s vocal range is like no other. With her first lesson at 4 years old, Dianne spent all her life perfecting her vocals, also becoming a vocal coach. As you can hear on the new Xandria album she is remarkable. Not only on the album, but her live performance has proven she is one of the most powerful women in the Symphonic Metal industry.

I was at their only Toronto show which was back in 2014 where they only played 5 songs. I am so pumped to get the chance to see their full set.

Get your tickets to the Toronto show ASAP so you don’t miss out. This show is going to be unforgettable.

On the bill is Kobra And the Lotus who will release their 4th studio album May 12th. Having 2 of their releases, I am looking forward to finally seeing Kobra And The Lotus in concert and picking up their new album.

Also on the bill is Once Human which I am unfamiliar with, but as a fan of female rock vocalists, I look forward to seeing what they have in store for us.

Photos and interview will be posted on Decibel Geek website after the show.
