Forming in 2010, Los Angeles’ Butcher Babies released their first full-length album, Goliath, in 2013 a follow-up to the self-titled, self-released Butcher Babies EP in 2012. After another EP of cover songs, Uncovered, in 2014 Butcher Babies are now set to issue their second full-length album, Take It Like A Man, on August 21, 2015. The band consists of frontwomen Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey, guitarist Henry Flury, bassist Jason Klein and drummer Chris Warner and their music has been described by critics as Neo-Thrash, shock rock, and Heavy Metal. The band has cited their influences as Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Slipknot, and many more. However, the band Plasmatics had the biggest influence on the band. In an interview, they stated “We are big fans of Wendy O. Williams. We took the name from the Plasmatics song “Butcher Baby“.”
