Corey Taylor, Vince Neil Appear in Sharknado 4

SharknadoThe sharks are returning to TV as Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens sets to air this weekend with a slew of guest and cameo appearances from many celebrities.  Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman, Corey Taylor and former Motley Crue vocalist Vince Neil are just two of the stars appearing in the fourth installment of the science fiction/horror franchise Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens. The 2 hour made for tv movie continues the Sharknado franchise about the unlikely natural disaster of  “sharknadoes” unleashing hoards of Great Whites on urban centers of the US.  The movie airs Sunday, July 31 at 8 pm on SyFy and picks up 5 years after Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! ends.  In this newest installment  “sharknadoes” strike Las Vegas forcing Fin to get his chainsaw out of storage to save the city from attack.HOLLYWOOD, CA - SEPTEMBER 28: Actor Ian Ziering attends IGN's party celebrating the launch of Capcom's 'Resident Evil 6' at Lure on September 28, 2012 in Hollywood, California. In Sharknado 4Taylor appears as a Shark World hotel security guard while Neil plays himself.  Other musicians making appearances in this installment include Rascal Flatts Jay DeMarcus who will be acting as the manager of the Shark World hotel, and entertainer Wayne Newton, who appears as himself.

Director Anthony Ferrante, who directed the three previous installments of the Sharknado franchise, returns to the director’s chair for Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens as does Thunder Levin, as writer.

Franchise veterans  Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, return in Sharknado 4 as Fin and April along with a long list of celebrities making appearances including David Hasselhoff, (Baywatch, Sharknado 3), comedian Carrot Top, Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank), Gary Busey, Tommy Davidson, Erika Jayne (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Patti Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker), Susan Anton and Cheryl Tiegs.

The original Sharknado was released in 2013 and was followed by Sharknado 2: The Second One in 2014 and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! in 2015.  The film series has spawned comics and video games as well as a spinoff film, Lavalantula.
