Singer Eric Martin of Mr Big and Avantasia fame is about to hit the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, in fact). He is ably accompanied by guitarist David Cotterill of UK metal band Demon.
ERIC MARTIN
A local of the San Francisco Bay Area, Eric Martin first started his career in the music industry in 1978. During his career, Eric has featured on some fantastic albums. Furthermore, his voice is immediately recognisable. Its rich and very powerful tone connecting with millions of fans across the world.
He has been recently touring, playing large festivals with Mr Big. The band included a date at Bloodstock Metal Fest here in the UK, going down a proverbial storm.
Eric is now playing stripped down gigs. These are up close and personal, singing and storytelling. I confirm that these should be great fun, having witnessed him before doing similar style gigs. Eric calls these shows “parties” and encourages folks to sing along and dance.
Eric Martin will be playing songs from Mr Big, as well his solo albums, along with appropriate covers. Furthermore, this is a chance to hear songs in acoustic form that we are more used to with full electrics. Therefore, if you’re able, we highly recommend catching him live.
The tour starts in Edinburgh (Scotland) on Tuesday 16th October. The tour concludes in Stoke On Trent (England) on Tuesday 30th October.
