Rock n Skull 2015Initially attracted by bands like Bonfire and Brighton Rock (both of whom became roster casualties), three Canadian Decibel Geeks made the arduous 12-hour drive from the Toronto area to Pekin Illinois for the 2015 Rock n Skull Festival. We were not the only Canadians in attendance as several of our friends from Toronto also journeyed to the event, but there were also friends from the US and even the U.K. and Austria at the festival!

This was the third year of operations for the annual Rock n Skull Festival that will move locations to Joliet, Illinois for the forthcoming 2016 edition. The three-day event (four including the pre-party that we were unable to attend) took place at Goodfellas/The Leeway, a small club in Pekin creating an excellent intimate atmosphere for fans, friends and musicians. Promoter Justin Murr was accessible, on hand every day, very friendly and responsive to concert goers concerns and enjoyment. For the 2016 event, Justin Murr has teamed up with Andrew McNeice from Melodic Rock to present a larger venue and band roster, this time in Joliet, Illinois.

While the band roster changed a few times, being booked so very far in advance and the road trip was a long one, we had an excellent time and are super stoked for our return engagement in 2016. Below you can find links to all of the Decibel Geek coverage at Rock n Skull 2015 from daily blog accounts of our adventure to photo galleries, YouTube videos and Spotlight features.
