Of course all or almost all of you are familiar with Pantera’s 1992 metal masterpiece Vulgar Display Of Power but probably very few of you are familiar with The Professionals’ 1981 I Didn’t See It Coming album. This was a band that Steve Jones and Paul Cook, guitarist and drummer respectively of the Sex Pistols, did after the Pistols imploded in 1978. While The Professionals’ songs definitely have a nice punk edge, they also have an early ’80s new wave tinge to them. Needless to say, I highly recommend it. The album is currently not available digitally (natch) but thankfully, the CD is still in print and very reasonably priced to boot. Click here to purchase.
