Have you heard of the Austrian band Sergeant Steel previously? Probably not, but that’s something that you should rectify and do some investigation immediately. This band has a three album catalogue to date, the last issue being Riders of the Worm, featuring two notable special guests; Kane Roberts on the track “Silver Spoon” and Mark Slaughter on “Young and Hungry” in November of 2015. Famed producer Michael Wagener has also been involved with the project. The band have recently released a new music video for the album’s ballad “Where My Heart Is” just in time for the summer season. Check out the video and press release information below:
PRESS RELEASE: Austria’s #1 hard rock band, Sergeant Steel showcase a further music video to promote their actual album Riders Of The Worm. As of now “Where My Heart Is” is online. Linz/Austria, Nashville/Tennessee/USA –Full-length record Riders Of The Worm was released globally last November. There’s no better time than spring, for a ballad video such as “Where My Heart Is”. Lead singer Phil Vanderkill talks about the concept behind the clip: ““Where My Heart Is“ probably contains everything you may love or even hate about power ballads: A mysterious beauty, a sentimental musical performance, and tons of rose leafs.” The was was done by famous producer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, etc.) in Nashville/Tennessee.
Sergeant Steel is a hard rock band from Upper Austria and was founded in 2007. The group has released the three albums Lovers & Maniacs (2010), Men On A Mission (2013) and Riders Of The Worm (2015) internationally. Sergeant Steel were support act of Deep Purple on Clam Castle/Upper Austria in 2013 and supported The Sweet twice. Furthermore, they produced the official anthem of Austria’s first division hockey team EHC Black Wings Linz in cooperation with the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.
