Ozzy Osbourne to play Sweden Rock Festival – Guitarist Zakk Wylde back in the band
PRESS RELEASE: Black Sabbath recently put an end to the band’s career and now the time has come for singer Ozzy Osbourne to do the same. After nearly four decades as a solo artist and a discography filled to the brim with immortal heavy metal classics, Ozzy is embarking on what is said to be his farewell tour.
With the legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde back at his side, Ozzy will do one single show in Sweden this summer – at the Sweden Rock Festival!
Sweden Rock Festival takes place in Sölvesborg, Sweden June 6-9th 2018. Tickets are released on November 24th at 9 am. More artists and bands will be announced before then.

Legendary Heavy Load is reunited after 33 years – Playing at the Sweden Rock Festival in June
PRESS RELEASE: Sweden’s first heavy metal band, Heavy Load, reunites and plays at Sweden Rock Festival this summer! The concert will be Heavy Load‘s first in Sweden since the summer of 1985!
Heavy Load was formed in the winter of 1974-1975 and is generally considered to have started the first wave of Swedish heavy metal with its debut album from 1978. Since the band’s closure in the mid 80’s, legendary status has only grown and Heavy Load is today known as one of the most important heavy metals cult bands.
After years of rejection, both from us at the Sweden Rock Festival and from many others, the band is reunited right now to the 40th anniversary of the debut album. The entire album catalog will be reprinted, rewritten and with bonus material, in reverse chronological order with Stronger Than Evil (1983), the first release on January 26th. In addition, Heavy Load plays at a few selected festivals in the world in 2018, including the Sweden Rock Festival!
Heavy Load will play on Sweden Rock‘s second largest stage, Rock Stage, on Friday evening June 8th. The original members Ragne and Styrbjörn Wahlquist and Torbjörn Ragnesjö are joined by a new yet unpublished guitarist – but also the original guitarist Eddy Malm will be on stage and the band promises an epic stage production!

We get many questions about when you can start buying tickets for the Sweden Rock Festival 2018. And now the date is spelled on Friday, November 24th. 9:00! Before that, of course, we will release a number of bands of varying sizes and from different genres, so keep an eye out!
