This week we’re back for a close look at the second half at the year that was 1983!

In this episode, we dissect the news stories, pop culture moments, and rock albums that were released from July-December of 1983. News stories covered include The Rolling Stones hitting pay dirt, a near-catastrophic Russian attack thwarted, a funeral for thousands of Atari games, and more.

News in the rock world included the loss of Dennis Wilson, KISS’ long-awaited unmasking,  final shows by Humble Pie and Thin Lizzy, and much more.

Numerous important albums were released in these months including debut releases by Metallica, Slayer, RATT, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more as well as important releases by Motley Crue, Billy Idol, Ozzy, and a bunch more.
