Lordi is a Finnish hard rock and melodic heavy metal band, originally formed in 1992 by the band’s lead singer, songwriter, visual art designer and costume maker, Mr. Lordi. The band is known for their monstrous look and the horror elements in the stage performance and music videos. With catchy songs and screaming riffs, the horrific lyrics will stick in your mind whether you like it or not. Lordi have been touring actively since 2002 and they will release their eighth full-length album, Monstereophonic, in September 2016. The album introduces two very different sides of the band, traditional hard rocking side Theaterror, and thematic, modern and heavy riffing side Demonarchy – something we have never heard from these monsters before. Lordi rose to fame in 2002 with their hit single, “Would You Love a Monsterman?”. The band made history in 2006 by becoming the first, and still today the only, hard rock act to win the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah”.
