The news is out that former members of Faster Pussycat, White Lion, and L.A. Guns have teamed up to form Angels in Vein. The Angels in Vein Facebook pages reports that the band, featuring bassist Eric Stacy (ex-Faster Pussycat, Jetboy), vocalist Chris VanDahl (ex-L.A. Guns), guitarist Todd “Taz” Anthony, guitarist Stacey Blades (ex-L.A. Guns), and drummer Troy Patrick Farrell (ex-White Lion) “is a classic rock band with mainstream elements seamlessly woven into both its musical tapestry and cutting edge production, making its unique sound immediately identifiable yet virtually timeless.” The short biography goes on to say, “AIV was formed in 2015 when founding members Chris VanDahl and Todd “Taz” Anthony renewed their collaborative efforts with the intention of writing a rock album for the ages. As the process progressed and the musical direction began to define itself, guitarist Stacey Blades, bassist Eric Stacy and drummer Troy Patrick Farrell were recruited into the fold to contribute to and further refine the band’s sound and identity. The end product and AIV‘s freshman offering is truly the culmination of a band who’s independent and collective abilities have generated six gold albums, numerous billboard singles and millions in record sales worldwide. This is Angels In Vein“
Eric Stacy told Decibel Geek today that while there’s no actual release date set just yet because the guys are still constantly writing and recording, the single for “1973” should be the first release. The song can be heard in the short promo video (link below) that was released on Facebook earlier in May and the actual official video for the song is just being finished up. Both the single and accompanying video should be released no later than the end of June.
Angels in Vein is asking that you share their teaser promo video and help the band break worldwide!
