FSireniaor the first time in their career, Sirenia from Norway will land on North American soil and tour USA & Canada. Touring for their latest album Dim Days of Dolor released November 2016. Dim Days of Dolor did make my personal Top 10 for 2016. The new album and tour features new lead vocalist Emmanuelle Zoldan.  Zoldan is a trained opera singer who has been with Sirenia as a choir singer for over a decade!

Taking from the Sirenia official website: “SIRENIA was formed by Morten Veland in January 2001. Morten’s musical work was already well known through his work with his former band Tristania, a band he co-founded back in the mid-nineties. Being the main songwriter for this band he was a part of defining the gothic metal sound from a very early time on.”

March will see Sirenia headline South and Central America then heading up to North America for 17 shows with Arkona (headliner), Mindmaze, Graveshadow (5 shows) and Sicocis (12 shows).

As a huge fan, I will finally get to see Sirenia play live in Toronto May 17th, 2017 at The Mod Club brought to you by Inertia Entertainment. With not knowing the other bands I will do a little research to see what else I am in for.

For fans of Symphonic Metal bands – Nightwish, Epica, Leaves’ Eyes, Delain, Eleine, Tristania and others, you won’t want to miss this tour.
