Blue Murder

The Blue Murder debut album has achieved a massive cult following over the years, with its legend growing over time. In this discussion, Carmine shares his thoughts on the legacy of the band, what led to the band’s fortunes taking a bad turn, and why it didn’t last longer. Carmine also shares an amazing story of how the members of Blue Murder almost became part of Thin Lizzy as well as how a reunion got within months of happening before things went south in 2012.

There are many other great stories from Carmine’s career in this episode including his connection to John Bonham and how their professional lives intertwined in the early days.

We’d like to thank Carmine Appice for sharing the story of Blue Murder this week. Be sure to check out Carmine’s podcast ‘Hangin’ & Bangin’ that has Carmine and his brother interviewing other legendary rock musicians and personalities.
