Doro Pesch's Warlock MORC 2018Decibel Geek‘s ace photographer Brian Ronald spent his time aboard the Monsters of Rock Cruise 2018 capturing as many fantastic performers in action as he could. Consequently, in this gallery of shots, he showcases DORO PESCH’S WARLOCK as they rocked the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas! The German Metal Queen and her band literally blew audiences away aboard the ship with two stellar face-melting performances. One set was a special performance of the Triumph & Agony album in its entirety and featuring original album guitarist Tommy Bolan. Spotted a few times about the ship, Tommy Bolan was extremely friendly and approachable as well!

In June 2017, Decibel Geek website editor/staff writer Rich “The Meister” Dillon witnessed this historic set at Sweden Rock Festival. It brought him to tears, literally. You can read his account of the event here: Doro at Sweden Rock 2017 Spotlight Review. While it proved a tough feat, Rich was able to fight back his tears of joy during the cruise.

Wikipedia Background of Warlock’s Triumph & Agony Album (adapted)

Triumph and Agony is the fourth and final studio album by the German heavy metal band Warlock. The album released on 5 September 1987.

The album was recorded in the US with producer Joey Balin. And saw different band line-up in comparison with the previous album True as Steel, which had made the name of Warlock known outside of Europe. Guitarist Peter Szigeti and bassist Frank Rittel were replaced in 1987. The American musicians Tommy Bolan and Tommy Henriksen respectively stepped in. The album also features British drummer Cozy Powell on some tracks.
