Album Title: Primitive
Label: Bad Reputation Records
Release Date: August 25, 2018

Description:
Unholy primitive Rock N’ Roll inspired by an era when Rock music was called the Devil’s music. It’s savage!

Bio:
On one particularly unholy night, a local witch doctor summoned the spirits in a search for a more primitive form of Rock N Roll. The primal fury unleashed was terrifying. From the swamps of the Bayou to the gritty streets of Los Angeles, never was such a uncivilized sound to be heard. Dr. Savage rose from the ashes and immediately gathered his likely cohorts to build his evil music dominion.

Forging a unique sound Dr. Savage and the Shrunken Heads draws influences from primal 50’s R&B artists like Bo Diddley and Howling Wolf, savage 60’s garage acts like The Troggs and The Seeds, a punk energy of The Cramps, with a raw voodoo vibe of Screaming Jay Hawkins and Screaming Lord Such.

In 2017 Dr. Savage and the Shrunken Heads had the honor of opening for English punk/rockabilly legends The Guana Batz at the world famous Viper Room. They were also featured at the Echo Park Rising Festival and have shared the stage with acts like 60’s garage legends, The Sloths and The Ape Hangers.

They continue to enjoy strong local support and nightclubs at various nightclubs throughout Southern California. Dr. Savage and the Shrunken Heads consists of members of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Rocketz, Plastic Soul and The Beat Killers.

You can currently find them haunting the local club scene throughout Southern California, but they will do it very soon in Europe.
