Sneker Eyes Wide OpenSwedish melodic death metallers, Eyes Wide Open, have been announced as a co-headliner of the Sneker Metal Meeting taking place in Sneek, The Netherlands, October 29, 2016, alongside German band Debauchery. Other bands on the bill include BloodGod (Germany), Martyr (Canada), Onegodless (formerly known as Mourn, Netherlands), 13 Steps (Netherlands) and Art of Pain (Netherlands).

Eyes Wide Open recently completed a European tour with fellow Swedes The Unguided and Hopelezz acting as support.

Eyes Wide Open started in Karlstad, Sweden in 2011 and since that time have garnered much attention with almost 60,000 followers on Facebook and fan clubs in several countries including Finland, Denmark and Czech Republic. The band, known for their signature use of a megaphone and strong melodies, released their well-received debut album, Aftermath, in December 2013 followed by signing with professional artist management, Agentur EAM. Soon thereafter they embarked on their first ever European tour culminating with a show at the Sweden Rock Festival. The band is currently writing music for their next album ahead of which they released a single, “BlinDEAD”, in September 2015.  The single, written and produced by Eyes Wide Open, was released through Into The Limelight Records.  The song looks at the idea of Everyday Group Thinking, or how a person or event can influence an entire town, country or group of people into believing a made-up truth.  The single was mixed and mastered by Gustav Ydenius (Leon Music) with cover art created by Christoffer Gisselfeldt.

Eyes Wide Open is: Erik Engstrand – Vocals, Kristofer Strandberg – Guitar, Jesper Lindgren – Bass, and Karl Adamsson – Drums & percussion

Eyes Wide Open music is available through Amazon, Spotify, and Itunes. Information on the Sneker Metal Meeting, including ticket information and band announcements, can be found at https://www.snekermetalmeeting.nl/
