  • Van Halen announced a new compilation album, “The Collection II,” which will focus on their studio albums with Sammy Hagar.
  • Country-pop superstar Carrie Underwood covered Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” while opening for Guns N’ Roses on their recent tour.
  • Bruce Dickinson teased Iron Maiden’s plans for after their current tour, saying that fans will be “happy.”
  • Dokken announced details of their upcoming album, “Heaven Comes Down,” and shared a music video for the single “Fugitive.”
  • Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx is working on his fifth book.
  • Anthrax’s Scott Ian is okay with the use of backing tracks during live shows.
  • Corey Taylor blasted bands who rely heavily on backing tracks, saying that it takes away from the live experience.
