Love n' Revenge KarmaAfter taking a break from writing, I thought it was time to do a review on an album that I received earlier this year from Kivel Records. If you don’t know Kivel Records I would suggest you get on the site and check out all the amazing bands on the label. I was first introduced to Kivel‘s selections with a spectacular band called Tango Down, which is one of my most played CD’s released in 2016.

As I am waiting for another gem from this record company, it was time to listen to Love N’ Revenge‘s debut CD – Karma.

Starting out, I knew nothing about this band or the artists who made this release happen. Damon Kelly has shared the stage with bands such as Queensryche, Tesla, Vince Neil and many others, along with his band RockarmaKelly‘s new project Love N’ Revenge brings a melodic sound with a taste of classic rock.

Within these 12 songs, it includes the classic “Roxy Roller“, which was originally done by Sweeney Todd. Most fans may say that no one can top an original but, sorry to say, not this time as they have done just that.

The album starts off with a boom with “It’s Rock N Roll“. As the album continues, Kelly showcases his classic vocal style, which blends well with the melodic guitars.

The slow track “Breathe” is a beautiful ballad that would impress many lovers of the good rock ballad.

Overall the songs all flow nicely together and make it hard to really pick any favorite songs as this is an album I enjoy listening to from start to finish.

Damon Kelly – Lead vocals, rhythm guitars and background vocals. John Lisi – Lead guitars and rhythm guitars. Guest Musicians: Vic Rivera – Drums, bass, keyboards, percussion and background vocals. Shalaine Mezzo – Background vocals.
