Michael SMichael Schenker Festchenker Fest is coming to Britain with six dates being announced for November. One of those is a festival date at Hard Rock Hell in Wales. The solo dates start in Glasgow Scotland and finishing in Manchester England. The band are made up of Michael Schenker, Chris Glen, Ted Mckenna (both of course ex-Sensational Alex Harvey Band) and Steve Mann (ex-Lionheart) and also feature no less than 4 vocalists in Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, Robin McAuley and Doogie White. The setlist will feature the music that he has been involved with through the years, which means one can expect plenty of UFO, Scorpions, MSG and his own Temple Of Rock.

Also one can expect to hear songs from his latest album Resurrection that is available on Nuclear Blast Records. According to the man himself the new songs have been going down a treat in the US where they have just been touring.

Support comes from melodic hard rockers Eden’s Curse from Glasgow (and Serbia, Germany and Finland, they are quite an international outfit) who describe themselves as Queensryche and Dokken jamming Journey songs with Dream Theater arrangements”!

I will leave you with this quote from Mr Schenker himself…. “experiencing the third part of my career in such fine company is a true pleasure. I hope to see you on our UK tour, keep on rockin’”.

Dates for Michael Schenker Fest include,

November 5 Glasgow O2 ABC

November 6 Birmingham O2 Institute

November 8 North Wales Hard Rock Hell (festival date)

November 9 Newcastle O2 Academy

November 10 London O2 Forum Kentish Town

November 11 Manchester Academy

Tickets on sale Monday 9 April at 9am (UK time)

Buy: Resurrection (featuring Kirk Hammett (Metallica) and Michael Voss-Schon (ex Bonfire)) – USA
