We’re back to discuss all the current happenings in the rock and metal world with New Noize Weekly!

The past few weeks have been like KISSmas for die-hard fans of the Hottest Band in the Land as a treasure trove of unreleased KISS footage spilled out onto Youtube. The uploader, using the moniker ‘Sam Loomis,’ appears to be a disgruntled purchaser of the material and points the finger at a well-known KISS fan and author. We’re not sure of who or what really led to the release of these videos but we’re certainly happy we got to see them.

A big loss to the KISS world (and rock at large) took place recently with the passing of producer Michael James Jackson. Known by many for his stellar work on the ‘Creatures of the Night’ and ‘Lick it Up’ albums, he more than left his mark in KISS fan circles. We share our thoughts on his passing as well as his career.

Some big news came out of the Alice Cooper camp recently with the exit of guitarist Nita Strauss and the return of Kane Roberts. Nita left to join Demi Lovato’s touring band and Kane’s return gives us all hope that more material from his era will be featured in the live setlist. We discuss Nita’s departure as well as Kane’s return. What do you think about it? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Van Halen was back in the news recently in a couple of stories; both relating to David Lee Roth. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Wolfgang Van Halen explains that the long-anticipated Eddie Van Halen tribute concert has been put on ice due to difficulties with ‘a certain person.’ It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who he’s talking about. We share our thoughts on all of this stuff.

One of the biggest stories of the past few weeks was the announcement of the Pantera reunion that’s set to take place in 2023. This has caused a firestorm of response; both good and bad. With the additional announcement of Charlie Benante and Zakk Wylde being recruited to replace the dearly-departed Abbott brothers, it’s added a new dimension to the situation. We share our feelings on this controversial upcoming tour. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.

Other topics covered this week include news on the new Skid Row single, the upcoming Rob Zombie ‘Munsters’ movie, David Draiman from Disturbed losing his mind, and Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens feeling snubbed in regards to the Judas Priest Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

We hope you enjoy New Noize Weekly and SHARE with a friend!
