Perception and Attitude of Musicians Toward Copyright - A SurveyLisa Di Valentino is a librarian with a background in copyright research¬†at University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is conducting a survey into learning about what musicians and music industry people think about copyright in the United States.¬†The data will be used to help determine how to promote copyright awareness among musicians. The study itself is called “Perception and Attitude of Musicians Toward Copyright – A Survey“.

Di Valentino says she’s limiting it to U.S. participants because the laws are different in Canada, but hopes to do a similar study in Canada if this one ends up useful. The survey is open to all those in the music industry in the USA. Including musicians, podcasters, radio broadcasters, writers/reviewers/bloggers, record labels and concert promoters among others. Pretty much anyone who is involved significantly with music.¬†She estimates that it will take about five to seven minutes to complete the survey. Open until the end of April 2019.
