71Id-NZyWKL._SL1035_The Getaway is the upcoming eleventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, slated to be released through Warner Bros. on June 17, 2016. This will be the band’s first studio album since 2011’s I’m with You. It was produced by Danger Mouse, who replaced Rick Rubin after twenty-five years and six albums as the band’s producer, making it the first non-Rubin produced album since 1989’s Mother’s Milk. The album was preceded by the first single “Dark Necessities” on May 5, 2016.  Dark Necessities” became the band’s 25th top-ten single on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, a record they hold over U2 who currently have 23 top-ten singles. “Go Robot” is expected to be the second single released from the album. On May 26, 2016, the band released the title track on their YouTube channel and on June 9, 2016 released “We Turn Red“. While not singles, the two songs were made available to purchase the following day after their release as free downloads for those who pre-order the new album.
