Sweden Rock 2018 Glenn Hughes and The DarknessIn addition to an already blistering lineup, Sweden Rock reveals two more. Just announced early this morning as joining the already massive band list at Sweden Rock 2018 are The Darkness and Glenn Hughes.

Here’s the official announcement translated from Swedish via Google Translate:

Two new acts are now confirmed for the Sweden Rock Festival: The Darkness and Glenn Hughes performs classic Deep Purple.

The Darkness got a slight sensational breakthrough with the debut album Permission to Land and the hit song “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” in 2003. After the 90’s where everything that recalled the previous decade was protected as the plague got the world to dig classically, melodic party hard rock again. Many missed them due to the late playtime last time they were on Sweden Rock. Now they will return for an afternoon show!

Glenn Hughes broke through wide front thanks to his time in Deep Purple in the 70’s. Now, for the first time, he is using material exclusively from the three classic Purple albums he participated in: Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste the Band. A given booking to the festival is understood. Especially given that Glenn, as others in his generation, has his voice resources completely intact!
