SWEDEN ROCK 2019 reveals the next wave of bands for the event. The full press release announcing the 20 additions can be seen below (translated from Swedish via Google Translate and with slight edits).

SWEDEN ROCK PRESS RELEASE Tuesday November, 20, 2018:

ZZ Top is one of the 20 bands the Sweden Rock Festival today announces for the coming summer festival.

We can now present another 20 pieces to the summer’s Sweden Rock Festival!

ZZ TOP:

2019 is 50 years since ZZ Top was formed and 10 years ago they played at Sweden Rock Festival by the end. Now, however, the world’s most well-known blues rock trio is on its way back to Sölvesborg to re-let classics like “Gimme All Your Lovin”, “Sharp Mressed man”, “Tush” and “La Grange” with many more sounds over the bleaching meadows.

TENACIOUS D:

Actor Jack Black and guitarist Kyle Gass launched Tenacious D as a bar show but the band’s humorous style and fake lyrics quickly became a success. Because of Black‘s movie career, Tenacious D can only tour sporadically, but in Sweden, the band has nevertheless created chaos at Gröna Lund and sold an acoustic performance at the Arenan in Stockholm in no time. When they come to Sweden Rock for the first time, it will of course be a full band of electric instruments.

DISTURBED:

Disturbed has been a modern metal’s biggest name throughout the 21st century, thanks to songs such as “Stricken”, “Down with the Sickness”, and “Indestructible”. Probably they found even more fans thanks to the covern of Simon & Garfunkel‘s “The Sound of Silence” which became a big hit this year. We have wanted them back to Sweden Rock since their success in 2008 and in summer it’s finally time!

Also Announced:

Klara for the festival is also Axel Rudi Pell, Blackberry Smoke, Candlemass, Powerwolf, Gorgoroth, Green Jellÿ, The Night Flight Orchestra, Jag Panzer, Blaze Bayley, FM, Krisiun, Myrath, Thundermother, Zal Cleminson’s Sin Dogs, Jared James Nichols, The Quill and Gathering Of Kings.

Sweden Rock Festival will be held 5-8 June 2019 in Sölvesborg.

Previously, Kiss, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and Def Leppard have been advertised.

The 4-day tickets are over, but a small number of 3-day tickets are still on sale.

Sweden Rock is Scandinavia’s biggest hard rock festival. Every year, visitors from around 50 countries are attracted to Sölvesborg, where they are invited to over 80 concerts in a mix of classical rock, hard rock, southern rock and metal. Sweden Rock is renowned for keeping a high level of service, and the friendly atmosphere has become one of the festival’s main signatures. In addition to the annual festival, Sweden Rock now has a magazine magazine, beverages and lifestyle products gathered under its brand.
