Formed in 1980, the original line-up included bassist Cliff Burton, who left the band to join Metallica. Trauma‘s 1984 album, Scratch and Scream, had long been considered a hard-to-obtain, progressive metal classic until it was reissued in 2015. You can now find that classic here and while you are checking that one out, follow this link to listen to their latest album, Rapture and Wrath, which was also released in 2015.  Classic hits from Trauma include “Such A Shame“, “The Day All Hell Broke Loose” and “Woman Be Gone“. The band is currently writing material for a new album and securing live touring dates.

Until the release of their next album, you can catch their set on the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise which will also feature such bands as Anthrax, Overkill, Testament, Carcass, and DevilDriver as well as many other metal artists. If you can’t catch Trauma on this cruise, find other tour dates for them on their Facebook page.
