Vendetta Red - Decibel GeekFollowing a 5 year hiatus, Seattle’s beloved rock band Vendetta Red has announced their triumphant return with a new label and new record coming in 2017. Today, the band has revealed they have inked a deal with the Los Angeles-based independent label Cleopatra Records and are currently wrapping up work on their fifth studio album that’s due out next year.
.
Cleopatra Records are thrilled to sign Seattle-rockers VENDETTA RED to our eclectic roster of talented artists and look forward to working closely with their team for a productive release in 2017. A veritable “win-win” for the Label and the band – and especially their loyal fans! – Tim Yasui (VP/General Manager)
.
“We are unimaginably grateful and excited to be partnering with Cleopatra Records for this album. This is probably the best music we have ever started writing and it does my heart well to know a competent label with integrity and proper infrastructure will be handling it. Also, the lobster claws we surgically grafted onto the sharks are requiring quite a bit more maintenance than anticipated so the additional funding is crucial.” – Zach Davidson (vocalist)
.
Over the band’s nearly 2 decades long career, Vendetta Red has earned, their place among the Pacific Northwest’s most cherished bands with their albums Blackout Analysis (2000), White Knuckled Substance (2001), Between the Never and the Now (2003) and Sisters of the Red Death (2005) and a handful of EP’s including their most recent releases Scripture (2013) and Light Year Anniversary (2013). Along the way, the band developed a worldwide following with memorable songs like “Shatterday” and “The Long Goodbye,” and found themselves sharing the stage with acts like AC/DC, Dashboard Confessional, Brand New and MXPX among others. Though it hasn’t always been easy, the band broke up in 2006 and briefly reunited in 2010/2011, which was followed by a hiatus until 2016.
.
2017 marks a new beginning for Vendetta Red. The band made up of Zach Davidson (vocals), Burke Thomas (drums), Scott Teske (bass) and C.J. (guitars), enters the next chapter of their career with a new label and a resurgent drive to create some of their best music to date. The upcoming year will undoubtedly find the band returning to the stage for extensive touring in support of the forthcoming record.
