WOLFPAKK – Wolves Reign (April 28, 2017)

Wolfpakk, the melodic metal all-star project releases their new album, Wolves Reign, on April 28th via AFM Records!

It’s time for the fourth installment of Wolfpakk, the project led by Mark Sweeney (ex-Crystal Ball) and Michael Voss (Mad Max, Michael Schenker). Once again the two experienced musicians have gathered a pack of “guest wolves” to refine the 11 new songs which will be featured on the disc.

Among the 26 guests are:
Biff Byford (Saxon), George Lynch (Dokken), Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne), Ronny Atkins (PrettyMaids), Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Harnell (TNT), Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.), Oliver Hartmann (Avantasia), Timo Somers (Delain), Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Pasi Rantanen (Thunderstone), Danny Vaughn (Tyketto), Michael Vescera (Yngwie Malmsteen), just to name a few.

In August 2011, Wolfpakk released its debut, simply titled Wolfpakk. Two years after, Sweeney and Voss unleashed the successor, Cry Wolf. Again the two leaders managed to gather many high-class guest musicians and vocalists, to record Wolfpakk‘s second long player. Cry Wolf release was on August 30th, 2013. 2015: The two alpha wolves Mark Sweeney and Michael Voss continued their journey and February 27th saw the release of Rise Of The Animal.

Michael Voss and Mark Sweeney have known each other for a long time and have always wanted to do a project together. Since Michael Voss produced for Mark Sweeney‘s 2nd solo album in 2009, it finally happened and the two found time for this collaboration.

During these recordings, the two rockers made plans for a metal project where as many famous musicians as possible from the hard rock and metal scene could be involved. Thanks to Michael Voss‘ extensive network gathered over the years as a producer, within a short time over 25 musicians from all over the world joined the project Wolfpakk. All songs including lyrics have been always written by Voss/Sweeney.

Wolves Reign promises great things if all the guest appearances are anything to go by.
