Delain / Hammerfall TorontoInertia Entertainment presents Delain live in Toronto April 19th at The Opera House for the first date of the new tour.

Delain from The Netherlands will be Co-Headlining their first North American tour with Hammerfall from Sweden. Also on the bill is Atmora from Windsor Ontario.

Since 2013 Delain has been to Toronto 3 times opening for others. With the support Delain has gained in Toronto, it is time for the band to return with their full show.

Their first official release was Lucidity in 2006. Since then the band has grown to be an international success. The band consists of original members Martijn Westerholt – keyboards, and the sensational Charlotte Wessels – lead vocals. Joining the band in 2010 Otto Schimmelpenninck Van Der Oije – bass guitar, backing vocals, harsh vocals, Timo Somers (2011) – guitar, Ruben Israel (2014) – drums, and the newest edition is the beautiful Merel Bechtold (2015) – guitar.

In 2016 they released their 5th studio album, Moonbathers thanks to Napalm Records. (Moonbathers Review).

I first experienced Delain in 2014 with their single release “Stardust” from the album The Human Contradiction. With the chance to see them twice on that tour, I became a huge fan and filled my CD collection with all their releases. This tour will top it off for me with the chance to see them play their full set.

DelainAlso being a fan of Hammerfall, this will be the first time seeing them live and a real treat. If you are going to this show you do not want to miss Atmora. I had the chance to see Atmora last year opening for Epica. They are a great up and coming local symphonic band.

This will be a Symphonic and Heavy Metal delight. A show not to be missed for 2017.

Photos and interview will be posted on Decibel Geek website after the show.

  1. atmora is not a great up and coming band lol. Those vocals sound like a dying whale, does she know that you aren’t supposed to yell throughout the entire song?
