FOREIGNER – 40th Anniversary Tour (Alex Dale)

Alex Dale recently captured the energy of Foreigner, when they stopped by the Coronado Theater in Rockford Illinois.

Alex gave the following summary:

Foreigner rocked the Coronado Theater in Rockford IL Friday to a sold out crowd! Although this is their 40th Anniversary Tour the crowd was full of diehards, who have been fans from the beginning to kids who heard of them through their parents! Foreigner also had a local high school get up onstage and sing a song with them, which was just magical!

  1. You have to be joking when you say that they rocked the house……..Mick Jones did not perform and we essentially saw a cover band, NOT Foreigner. If Mick knew in advance that he was not going to perform at this venue, the band had an obligation to let the fans know before they purchased tickets. Mick is as important to the show as is Keith Richards to the Stones. Other bands have cancelled and rescheduled shows if a key member of the band could not make it. I have searched the web to confirm why Mick was not there and can find nothing. When Foreigner toured with Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham last summer, Mick was committed to perform in every show in the contract, being that Cheap Trick knew that fans would not accept a cover band line-up when Foreigner was the headliner on that tour. My friend and I would not have gone to this show had we known that Mick was not performing. What we witnessed is a sugar coated performance without Mick, that lacked the edgy guitar rifts that Mick brings to the band. It felt like we were on a cruise ship watching and listening to the Disney performers. VERY disappointing!!!
