Los Angeles California based Symphonic/Heavy Metal band Edge of Paradise was created in 2011. The spark for conception was the meeting of Dave Bates and Margarita Monet in 2010. Bates had been part of a project featuring Robin McAuley, Greg Bissonette, and Tony Franklin while Monet was working on a solo album. Quickly after formation the debut CD, Mask, arrived featuring unreleased songs by Bates that the band reworked. The Mask album has guest appearances by McAuley, Franklin, Bissonette, and Bjorn Englen alongside Dave Bates and Margarita Monet. Four years later in 2015 we received the sophomore effort, Immortal Waltz. This release saw current members of the band John Chominsky (percussionist) and Nick Ericson (bassist) joining Bates and Monet. Recorded by the famous Michael Wagener and showcasing cover art by Timo Wuerz Immortal Waltz was unleashed on the world by Pure Rock Records in May of 2015.
Born in Armenia, Margarita Monet is an accomplished pianist, competing for and winning several awards. Once moving to New York, she acted in Off Broadway plays, independent short and feature films and is known for her powerful voice and incredible range.
